Mini bio
How it started.
Ayah’s interest in clothes began with sketching designs as a child and later designing for friends. A 2015 report recounts how the pharmacy graduate decided to create a fashion line carrying their name.
Building a label.
Ayah Sharaf Designs launched in 2014 with clothes for working women. By spring/summer 2017, Ayah was presenting a collection of around 25 casual pieces, mainly shirts and blouses, with options for women who wear hijab and those who do not.
Taking the work online.
In 2020, Ayah worked with GoDaddy to build an Arabic website and showcase the Elegance collection. The following winter collection included two-tone blazers and a belted cardigan dress, covered by SEE News in January 2021.
