Finding the voice.
Before millions heard his play-by-play, Bob was trying to build an acting and comedy career in Los Angeles. He supported himself as a caddie at Wilshire Country Club, where his clients included Aaron Rodgers and Will Ferrell. After a difficult stretch that included living in his car, he returned to Massachusetts.
The clip that changed things.
In 2017, David Justin recorded Bob performing his sports-announcer routine after a music-video shoot. The clip spread online. Bob built on that attention by dubbing sports footage with profane, playful commentary, pairing a polished broadcast voice with jokes you would never hear on a conventional sports network.
Beyond the highlights.
The voice led to work for Buffalo Wild Wings and a series of interview podcasts. Bob launched Ripper Magoos and became a co-host of Full Send when it began in 2021. His own feed later carried the Fully Tilted name. He also played Jack in the 2024 film Road House.
