Mini bio

How it started.

Brittany grew up in the Philadelphia area and pursued acting before finding her audience online. Her early credits included Reality Hell and Prank My Mom. In a 2014 interview, she recalled selling things on eBay between acting jobs before discovering Vine.

Six seconds at a time.

She began making Vine videos in 2013 after seeing the app promoted on Instagram. Her character sketches and recurring catchphrases, including “Puhhhfect,” caught on quickly. By July 2013, Tubefilter was interviewing her as one of the platform’s first stars. She won Viner of the Year at the 2014 Streamys and appeared on TIME’s 2015 list of the 30 most influential people on the internet.

Beyond the feed.

Her career expanded into films and longer conversations. She appeared as herself in Netflix’s 2018 documentary The American Meme and played Biker Chick in The Dirt. She hosted Worst Firsts from 2019 to 2021, then co-hosted and executive-produced This Is the Worst with Brittany Schmitt. They announced a break in June 2025. In April 2026, she joined The 500 for a conversation about Radiohead’s The Bends.
