Mini bio

How it started.

Bruce’s first taste of fashion came from helping at their mother’s children’s shoe store in Yuma. Summer jobs at Gap and Esprit followed. After college, Bruce moved to New York and found stockroom work at Paul Smith through a Village Voice listing. A manager pointed them toward an opening at GQ.

Finding a voice.

At GQ, Bruce grew from fashion assistant to Associate Fashion Director, then moved into independent styling, including work with Annie Leibovitz and Vanity Fair. Later editorial roles included Cargo and T: The New York Times Style Magazine. In 2014, Bruce joined Bergdorf Goodman as men’s fashion director.

Fans kept asking where Bruce found the pieces in their wardrobe. In 2019, B. Shop brought that eye into a dedicated space at Bergdorf Goodman, with everyday staples, smaller labels, and exclusive collaborations. Their twin brother, set designer Scott Pask, helped design the space.

Beyond menswear.

Bruce’s costume work includes the Broadway revivals of Design for Living and Promises, Promises, as well as the Academy Awards. Today, their work also includes mentoring emerging designers and fashion students, alongside the Men’s Fashion Office role at Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus.
