Mini bio
How it started.
Camila grew up in Virginópolis, Brazil, and moved to the United States with her family during high school. She worked at a Dior makeup counter at 18, became a makeup artist and began posting YouTube tutorials for friends and family in 2010.
Finding an audience.
Those tutorials reached beyond her personal circle. A fashion and beauty blog followed, then invitations to couture shows and a Glamour Brazil cover. Her early makeup work grew into a career spanning fashion weeks, campaigns and product collaborations.
Building her own brands.
She launched Camila Coelho Collection with Revolve in June 2019, celebrating in Rio de Janeiro before continuing the trip in Trancoso. In August 2020 she introduced Elaluz, a beauty brand inspired by her Brazilian roots, beginning with a lip and cheek stain and a lip balm.
Sharing more of her story.
In February 2020, Camila publicly shared her experience of living with epilepsy and became an END EPILEPSY ambassador. The Epilepsy Foundation announcement described her goal of helping others speak openly about the condition. So They Can also lists her among its global ambassadors.
