How it started.
Growing up in New York, Caroline wanted a place in Manhattan’s fashion industry. She interned at Anna Sui in 2012 and then Marie Claire, before joining Teen Vogue’s print fashion team in 2014. A move to InStyle let her explore digital publishing.
Making her own opening.
In 2015, while working at InStyle, she began writing the book that became Making It in Manhattan. Finding representation took persistence: she recalls emailing about 60 literary agents. Her agent encouraged her to start a blog so readers could discover her advice before the book arrived.
From the page to the closet.
Her 2018 book shares lessons about getting into fashion, from internships to building a personal brand. The blog grew into a place for industry interviews, which later inspired her Making it in Manhattan podcast. Alongside that work, her colorful outfits and behind-the-scenes fashion coverage became the heart of her digital platform.
Helping other people find their style.
In 2026, she brought her styling advice to television as a host of Bring My Pinterest to Life. Her next announced project is Caroline’s Closet, a TikTok and iHeartPodcasts interview series scheduled to begin in December 2026.
