Mini bio
How it started.
Born in Hong Kong, Tina moved to California at two and returned to Hong Kong at 11. An early interest in performance led to drama studies at Bristol University, followed by a year studying styling at New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology. Styling and writing in Hong Kong came before the personal fashion blog Tina Loves.
Finding an audience.
Tina Loves became a place to share outfits and fashion-week experiences. In a Tatler interview, Tina recalled Dior taking them to their first Paris Fashion Week in 2012. The shows became a source of creative energy, and personal style grew into a public-facing career. Netflix’s Bling Empire: New York brought that life to a wider audience in 2023.
Style with community.
Tina co-created House of Slay with Prabal Gurung, Phillip Lim, Laura Kim and Ezra William in response to rising anti-Asian hate. Launched in 2021 as a digital comic, the project grew into a platform for inclusion. Alongside social content and runway styling, Tina works as a contributing style editor for Vogue Hong Kong.
