Mini bio
How it started.
Before interiors, Celia worked as a dental nurse and then built a photography agency. In their own account, a successful advertising commission helped the agency grow. They later bought and developed a London property, creating an interior that brought requests from other homeowners.
Learning by doing.
Celia says they had no previous design training and learned by reading books, studying images and working on small projects. The business grew into a practice designing homes, yachts and aircraft. Their website now lists projects in London, Barbados, Hollywood and the UAE.
On screen.
Four Rooms brought Celia’s art and collectables dealing to television audiences. They say they answered an advert seeking interesting objects by sending a photograph of themselves and asking to join as a dealer. They later presented BBC One’s Your Home in Their Hands, which debuted in September 2014.
Beyond the studio.
Celia also judges interior design categories for the International Property Awards. Their studio’s Solaris Beach House interiors received a 2024 Luxury Lifestyle Award in Barbados.
