Mini bio
How it started.
Wales studied fine art at Central Saint Martins, graduating with first-class honours in 2008. Working as Daniel Jackson’s studio manager gave her an early foothold in fashion photography before she developed her own editorial and commercial practice.
Finding her eye.
By 2017, her work had appeared in Vogue, POP, Dazed and The Gentlewoman, and Dazed included her in its Dazed 100. Her carefully lit photographs often bring humour, movement and fantasy into fashion. Her representation credits long creative partnerships with Area and Chopova Lowena, helping those designers develop their visual identities.

Her projects range from SOPHIE’s 2018 album artwork and the book Kukeri with Chopova Lowena to Adele’s 2021 cover for The Face. Film is another part of her practice: she directed Crystal Murray’s Starmaniak and Lil Uzi Vert’s What You Saying, alongside fashion and beauty campaigns.
