Mini bio
How it started.
Born in Caledonia, Michigan, Green moved to New York as a teenager to model. Working with photographer David Armstrong helped shape the close attention to people that would become central to Green’s own portraits.
A community becomes a book.
Green spent more than three years photographing friends and collaborators for Young New York. Many of its black-and-white portraits were made in Corlears Hook Park on the Lower East Side. The series Young New Yorkers earned second place in the 2016 LensCulture Portrait Awards; Aperture published the first monograph in 2019.
Making room for other artists.
In 2022, Green founded New York Life Gallery in Chinatown. Alongside personal projects, Green has photographed for Vogue and worked with fashion houses including Dior, Louis Vuitton and Alexander McQueen.
Friends, glamour and collaboration.
Bombshell, published by Baron in 2024, invites friends to interpret glamour through their own styling and poses. Hair artists Lucas Wilson, Jimmy Paul and Sonny Molina collaborated on the project. Green carried that interest in participation into the 2025 Pirelli Calendar, photographed in Miami.
