How it started.

Chhewang began building an audience with YouTube covers while living in the UK, singing in Nepali, Hindi and English. Early recordings used a phone and a guitar. They returned to Nepal in 2016 to give music a serious try.

Finding their own songs.

The cover “Isarale Bolaunu Pardain” brought recognition, and “Lahure” helped turn that audience into a following for original music. The story continued through “Lahure 2” and “Lahure III.” “Jaat” addresses caste discrimination, showing another side of their songwriting.

Beyond the microphone.

Chhewang’s video credits often extend to acting, story ideas, direction and editing. They also became a coach on season 3 of The Voice Kids Nepal, a chapter discussed in their 2025 Maven Podcast interview.
