Mini bio
How it started.
Before the outfit posts and perfume launches, Chriselle worked as a wardrobe stylist. Their early YouTube tutorials treated fashion as something to teach, with practical ways to get dressed and find a place in the industry. The Chriselle Factor followed in December 2011.
Finding an audience.
A partnership with Michelle Phan helped Chriselle’s fashion tutorials reach a wider audience. In a later interview, Chriselle recalled early invitations from Ralph Lauren as a moment when the industry began taking bloggers seriously. The work also grew behind the camera: in October 2017, Chriselle and Lauren Fong launched branded content studio CINC studios.
Building around real life.
Parenthood led Chriselle toward Bümo, a business created to help working parents find support and childcare. Another turning point came in 2021 with Phlur. Chriselle describes joining the fragrance brand during the personal reset that followed divorce, and treating scent as a way to tell stories and express personal style. The brand relaunched in February 2022 with Missing Person, a fragrance inspired by longing.
