Mini bio
A taste for dessert.
Christina grew up helping her mother prepare food for special occasions and taking charge of Christmas dessert. She later studied culinary arts at CIT. In her 2021 ILoveCooking interview, she traced her move to veganism in 2015 to learning how animals are used in food production.
Finding her community.
She started Instagram in 2016 as a creative outlet and a way to meet other vegans. In her Food Blogger Pro interview, she recalled reaching roughly 50,000 followers within the first year. Her early routine included daily posts and replying to nearly every comment.
Making it her work.
Christina went full-time in 2020, the year her first cookbook appeared. No-Bake Vegan Desserts collects 60 recipes with full-page photographs. Today, Addicted to Dates focuses on plant-based versions of familiar cakes, cheesecakes, cookies and pies, with step-by-step guidance for home bakers.
