How it started.
Cody grew up dancing on the hip-hop convention circuit. Broughton Dance’s guest-artist biography says he earned scholarships from Monsters of Hip Hop, Radix and The Pulse On Tour, and started choreographing at 16.
An early internet moment.
In 2014, his mother’s video of him asking for Beyoncé after wisdom-tooth surgery drew national coverage. Speaking to ABC News, Cody described himself as outgoing and said he dreamed of becoming one of her backup dancers.
Dance meets fitness.
His background now spans choreography, coaching and fitness content. His official CrossFit record includes Open appearances in 2022, 2023 and 2024, plus individual Quarterfinal appearances in 2022 and 2023. His Muscle Fairy name appears in his public profile and official discount link.
Building a place to belong.
In May 2026, Cody began crowdfunding Werkology. He wants a gym where beginners and experienced athletes can train together, with adaptable workouts and coaches who care. On Kettlebells & Cocktails, he discussed the route from farm life and dance to CrossFit and his gym plans.
