How it started.
Corissa began casually blogging on Tumblr in 2012 after discovering That Cortnie Girl. A welcoming fat community helped that audience grow, and in April 2015 she launched Fatgirlflow.com to share fashion, personal experiences, and resources.
Finding an audience.
Her early where-to-shop guides took off by helping readers find clothing beyond the sizes many retailers offered. In her PRIDE interview, she traced that momentum to a guide for shoppers above size 24. She launched her YouTube channel in November 2015 so viewers could see a fat body trying on clothes on camera.
Making room.
The work grew beyond clothing hauls. Corissa developed merchandise with larger sizes in mind, created Fat Camp Retreat with her friend Tay, and made Full Circle Body Liberation in 2022. In 2025 she made the course available free and started publishing Staying Fat.
Where she is now.
Her recent writing looks closely at consumption, influencer marketing, and fat liberation. In January 2026 she explained her decision to remove Amazon affiliate links from her website. Alongside those essays, Fatgirlflow continues to offer practical resources such as furniture reviews for plus-size people.
