How it started.
Courtney grew up in Arizona and earned an MBA before pursuing fashion in New York. She created Color Me Courtney as a creative outlet and a portfolio to help her get hired. Corporate roles followed at Tommy Hilfiger, Jonathan Adler, Kate Spade and Coach, where she worked on handbags before taking her own brand full time.
Finding her own path.
Her colorful outfits and encouragement to dress outside the lines grew into Color Me Courtney and the pop culture companion Color Me Magic. By 2023, Disney reported that her social channels had passed one million followers. Her Princess Tiana collection, introduced at D23 Expo in 2022, turned a longtime wish to design for Disney into a real collaboration.
Beyond the outfit.
Her work also reaches into stationery: the Color Me Courtney collection for Blue Sky uses unlined layouts for planning, drawing and keeping memories. More recently, she has shared matching family outfits, elaborate Halloween costumes and a birthday photo tradition at Disneyland.
