Mini bio
How it started.
Dalal began her Dalalid blog in 2012. In an early interview, she described learning through YouTube tutorials, makeup courses and hours of practice in front of a mirror. Requests for lessons encouraged her to share what she knew online.
Finding her audience.
Her makeup advice and outfit ideas found an audience beyond Kuwait. By May 2013, Khaleejesque reported more than 138,000 Instagram followers. She told Al Anba that she began sharing YouTube tutorials in 2013 and wanted women to feel confident styling themselves.
A signature in colour.
Eyeliner became a calling card. In her 2015 Al Anba interview, she recalled a blog series trying different blue eyeliners that made readers associate Dalalid with the colour. In 2018, she collaborated with Bobbi Brown on the violet-plum lipstick Daring Dalalid.
From tutorials to products.
Her work now includes her own DALALID beauty brand. In MAGNAV’s 2026 cover story, she discussed developing products from gaps she noticed herself and listening to her community, while keeping the brand connected to Kuwait and the wider Gulf.
