How it started.
Danielle grew up on Long Island and built her fashion career in New York. In her own account, she began blogging in 2010, sharing outfits and everyday life. That personal style diary became WeWoreWhat, gradually expanding from documenting clothes to making pieces she wanted in her own closet.
From outfits to a business.
Her audience helped turn a college-era project into a career. By 2017, Forbes included her in its Art & Style 30 Under 30 class. She later told her story in the 2020 book This Is Not a Fashion Story, written with Emily Siegel, and extended WeWoreWhat into fragrance with Parlux in 2024.
The next chapter.
In October 2026, Danielle wrote about buying back WeWoreWhat and giving the brand a new creative identity. She also acknowledged past mistakes in leadership and design, saying the company had strengthened its reviews of designs. Her Substack, Between the Posts, gives readers a more personal view of the business, her wardrobe and daily life.
