Mini bio
How it started.
Friedberg studied astrophysics at UC Berkeley, graduating in 2001, and joined Google in 2004. He worked in corporate development and product management before building a company of his own.
From weather to farming.
In 2006, he founded WeatherBill to help businesses protect themselves against bad weather. The company shifted toward farmers, adding software and analytical tools, and became The Climate Corporation. Monsanto acquired it in 2013.
Building around science.
He later founded The Production Board to build and invest in businesses across food, agriculture, and life sciences. At Ohalo, where he is CEO and co-founder, that interest takes the form of new breeding systems and crop varieties.
On the mic.
Fans can hear him on All-In with Chamath Palihapitiya, Jason Calacanis, and David Sacks. Alongside the group discussions about business, technology, and society, he hosts interviews with guests such as Ryan Cohen and Eric Weinstein.
