Mini bio

How it started.

Before food became his work, Dennis was a musician living in Nashville. He taught himself to cook with Jamie Oliver books from the library, then photographed the dishes on his phone to remember what he had made. Back in New Brunswick, those food pictures became an Instagram account.

The photos found their people.

A shout-out from Nigella Lawson in April 2015 brought 10,000 new followers overnight, according to his Canon interview. A food publication then commissioned recipes and photographs, pushing him to learn DSLR photography. His first cookbook, Eat Delicious, followed in 2017 with 125 recipes and photographs he shot himself.

From the screen to your kitchen.

On Netflix’s Restaurants on the Edge, Dennis joins Nick Liberato and Karin Bohn to help struggling restaurants reconnect with local culture. His second cookbook, Cook with Confidence, draws on his travels, professional kitchens and Maritime roots, with over 100 recipes and practical kitchen guidance.

More time at the table.

Dennis is an ambassador for World Vision and the Chefs’ Manifesto, working on food access and sustainability. In a June 2026 conversation with The Elevate Collection Podcast, he spoke about expanding into sport and lifestyle, especially golf and soccer, while continuing to encourage people to cook and spend time together.
