How it started.
Katie studied chemistry at the University of Victoria before medical school and dermatology residency at the University of British Columbia. She then completed a year-long fellowship in laser and cosmetic dermatology, training with Shannon Humphrey and Jean and Alastair Carruthers.
A lasting partnership.
She met Shannon Humphrey in 2005 while she was a medical student. One early project involved reviewing melanoma patient charts together in a storage locker. Katie joined the practice in 2014; it later took the name Humphrey & Beleznay Cosmetic Dermatology.
