Before the skin explainers.
Jeffrey Morris grew up in Fort Lauderdale and graduated with honors from Rollins College. He went on to medical school at Nova Southeastern University, where a research fellowship supported his work on skin cancer and dermoscopy. He later served as chief resident during his dermatology training at Beaumont in Detroit.
Finding his audience.
His clinic identifies him as TikTok Skin Doc, the educator behind @tiktokskindoc1. His product explainers were drawing attention by February 2022, when Reviva Labs featured his video about bruising. His later videos range from everyday skincare questions to rosacea, pigmentation and skin cancer research.
A book built from memory aids.
Dermonics grew out of the mnemonics he used during medical training. After taking the updated dermatology board exam, he wanted to share those tools with future colleagues. His book combines board review material with memory aids for dermatology trainees.
