Mini bio

How it started.

Born in Ashkelon and raised in Ramat Hasharon, Dudi began photographing friends at 15. His mother’s home hair salon exposed him early to people’s clothes, hair and personal style. He learned photography without formal study.

Finding a way in.

Dudi spent three years developing and scanning photographs in a printing shop. After losing an assistant job with a fashion photographer, he began producing his own shoots and sending them to Israeli magazines. Editors eventually started coming to him. In 2016, a fall campaign for Mara Hoffman in New York became an important opportunity to work with greater creative freedom.

The personal work.

His first book, As Far As Close, gathers portraits from different places and periods. Published by Libraryman in 2021, it brings his interest in relationships into book form, alongside a poem by Noam Noy. His later photography for Mediterranean Homes turns that attention toward domestic spaces in Tel Aviv, Cap Ferrat and Paros.
