Mini bio

How it started.

Beti says Makeup-Sessions grew out of a love of makeup and photography, and a wish to share thoughts on beauty. The archive includes a detailed OCC lipstick review from August 2014, with product photographs and swatches.

The makeup approach.

Glowy skin is a recurring theme. In a 2018 guide, Beti described using a light coverage base, adding concealer where needed and choosing cream or liquid products for luminosity. The reviews explain how products look and feel in use.

Beyond makeup.

The blog also covers skincare and haircare. A 2020 PHYTO partnership paired product reviews with Beti’s own curly hair story. Fragrance is another part of @makeupsessions: Traackr included Beti in its November 2023 list of rising and top fragrance influencers.

Finding an audience.

Marie France featured @makeupsessions in its selection of beauty Instagram accounts, drawing attention to Beti’s photography and product arrangements. More recent posts continue the hands-on approach through blush demonstrations, perfume reviews and skincare experiences.
