Mini bio

How it started.

Teotoki began with a discovery in Emelie’s mother’s vintage wardrobe: a jumpsuit worn during nights at Studio 54 in the late 1970s. The brand’s own history dates its launch to 2013. W Magazine reported that Emelie had a Beijing tailor make a slimmer version and that friends’ requests helped turn the idea into a label.

An early introduction.

In October 2014, W Magazine featured Emelie in its Design Mavens gallery. The piece introduced a Stockholm actor building a line of jumpsuits that could move from daytime flats to evening heels. Marie Claire later described Emelie as a trained actor and highlighted both their fashion and interiors work.

A home full of colour.

Emelie’s interiors offer another way into their creative world. Gotain’s 2024 home tour showed how light blue woodwork connects the rooms of the family’s Stockholm apartment. In an Addison Ross interview, Emelie described a taste for classic furniture, playful colour and objects collected slowly over time.

Sharing life after cancer.

Emelie has also made room for personal conversations about breast cancer. Appearances on Cancerfonden’s GLÖD and In Bed With Emilia explored the experience and its effect on life and relationships. In 2025, Emelie contributed to the charity audiobook Och ändå skiner solen for Nextory and Cancerfonden.
