Mini bio

Friends first.

Enter Shikari formed in St Albans in 2003, following the earlier band Hybryd. Rou Reynolds handles vocals and electronics, Rory Clewlow guitar, Chris Batten bass and Rob Rolfe drums. Their music brings post-hardcore and electronic sounds into alternative rock.

The breakthrough.

Their debut album Take To The Skies arrived on March 19, 2007 and reached No. 4 in the UK. It includes “Mothership”, “Sorry, You’re Not A Winner” and “Anything Can Happen In The Next Half Hour”. In April 2023, A Kiss For The Whole World became their first UK No. 1 album.

Building their own world.

Their story is documented in Luke Morton’s authorised biography Standing Like Statues, published in 2022 and built from interviews with the band and their team. Their support for the live circuit includes a £1 Music Venue Trust donation from every UK ticket on their announced 2026 tour.

Where they are now.

In April 2026, they released Lose Your Self without advance singles, asking fans to hear it as a whole. Their October statement set out plans to become dormant after December 2027, leaving open whether they will return.
