Mini bio

How it started.

Before television, Erin worked in corporate graphic design and founded Lucky Luxe, an international stationery company. With a fine arts background, she brought an artist’s eye to the older houses she and Ben loved in Laurel, Mississippi.

From a journal to Home Town.

Erin kept a daily online journal from 2010 to 2020. In 2014, a Southern Weddings feature on the couple’s home brought new Instagram followers, including an HGTV executive. Home Town debuted in 2016, turning their interest in old homes and small-town life into a television career.

Stories worth keeping.

Her books carry that interest in home beyond the screen. She and Ben published the memoir Make Something Good Today in 2018. The Lantern House, illustrated by Adam Trest, followed in 2022, and Heirloom Rooms collected essays and photographs about the lives held inside homes in 2023. She returned to picture books with The Christmas House in 2026.

Rooted in Laurel.

Erin is a founding co-owner of Laurel Mercantile Co., Scotsman General Store & Woodshop and the Scent Library. Her work with Ben connects design to local jobs and American craftsmanship. The couple live in Laurel with their two daughters.
