How it started.

Cooking was a creative outlet as a teenager. After studying accounting at NC State and joining Deloitte, Ethan found that consulting travel left little energy for it. Weekend videos in 2018 helped bring that interest back.

Taking the leap.

With roughly 900 subscribers after a year, Ethan chose full-time content creation. By summer 2020, the audience reached 20,000, then jumped to 170,000 that July after a move to California.

Cooking with a reason.

The videos move between practical meals and ingredient investigations. Cook Well carries that approach into recipes, cooking frameworks, meal planning, and grocery lists. Ethan makes videos and writes recipes alongside a team handling content and technology.
