Mini bio
Finding rap.
Eva B grew up in Lyari, Karachi. Hearing Eminem on a computer sparked her curiosity about rap, and she began teaching herself online in 2014. Family opposition interrupted her performing, but she kept writing. She returned with “Gully Girl” in 2019, telling a young woman’s story through a response to Gully Boy.
A wider audience.
In 2022, she joined Kaifi Khalil and Abdul Wahab Bugti on “Kana Yaari” for Coke Studio season 14. Her Urdu track “Rozi,” produced by Gingger Shankar, also featured in the first episode of Ms. Marvel. The Recording Academy later invited her to perform “Sunrise in Lyari,” a song she wrote especially for its Global Spin series in 2023.
Keeping Lyari close.
Her lyrics draw on women’s lives, inequality and the place she calls home. She has described the hijab as part of her Muslim identity. Her 2026 releases include the collaborative anthem “Movement X Lyari” and the nine-track album Queen of the South.
