How it started.
Gabbriette grew up in Orange County wanting to dance professionally. Music video auditions brought attention from modeling scouts, while Tumblr and Instagram gave them a place to build an audience.
Finding a band.
Charli xcx recruited Gabbriette for Nasty Cherry. They moved into an LA apartment with Chloe Chaidez, Debbie Knox-Hewson and Georgia Somary to write together, despite never having written a melody before. Netflix’s 2019 series I’m with the Band: Nasty Cherry follows the group taking shape.
Into the kitchen.
During lockdown, Gabbriette began posting cooking videos, starting with their mother’s ceviche. Family recipes were already part of life at home, with a Mexican mother and Swiss father. The food became another way for fans to connect with them.
Across screens.
A cameo in Charli xcx’s 2024 video for 360 brought Gabbriette into the brat world. In 2025, they appeared in the films Idiotka and I Know What You Did Last Summer, while continuing fashion and beauty work.
