Mini bio
How it started.
Food was part of Gaurav’s family life long before Swad Official. In a 2023 ABP Live interview, he recalled his parents running a dhaba and his mother preparing meals before dawn. He said he started his Instagram account in 2018 and kept posting daily.
The breakout.
In October 2020, he filmed the elderly couple running Baba Ka Dhaba in Delhi’s Malviya Nagar and asked viewers to support them. The video brought their struggling stall widespread attention. His later Amma ki Rasoi film introduced viewers to an elderly woman selling parathas in Agra.
Where he goes next.
Swad Official follows street stalls, restaurants and local food traditions. Recent longer videos include a Varanasi lassi trail, a Vande Bharat food vlog and a late-night Old Delhi food challenge. In September 2025, he also introduced his first podcast, with Simrat Kathuria as his guest.
