Mini bio

Finding a place in beauty.

Golloria came from South Sudan to the United States as a five-year-old refugee. In college, seeing friends get ready together made the lack of makeup for deep complexions especially clear. In 2022, Golloria began filming while studying and working at two hotels.

The first breakthrough.

An early viral video captured the joy of finding Fenty Beauty’s Caviar contour stick. Inspired by Nyma Tang, Golloria made Darkest Shade a recurring test of whether beauty brands actually serve dark skin.

Turning reviews into change.

In April 2024, a Youthforia foundation review compared the darkest shade with black face paint. The video drew attention to missing undertones. Later, Golloria helped Rhode develop the deeper Pocket Blush shades Date Cake and Plum alongside cosmetic chemist Ron Robinson.

Beyond a swatch.

The work also includes skincare, fashion and conversations about representation. In a 2026 Create & Cultivate interview, Golloria explained that inclusion extends to who appears in campaigns and gets invited into beauty spaces.
