Mini bio
How it started.
Guntas grew up in Guwahati in a Punjabi family where cooking was part of everyday life. In a 2020 interview, she recalled spending her after-school hours cooking and baking. She completed Chartered Accountancy before following her interest in pastry to Le Cordon Bleu London.
From cakes to recipes.
By 2020, she was the founder and head chef of Chef Guntas in Khar, Mumbai, making customised cakes and desserts while documenting her cooking on Instagram. Her chocolate avalanche cake was a particular favourite of hers: a layered dessert designed to bring a restaurant-style experience home during lockdown.

Her work has grown to include a guest-judge appearance on MasterChef India Season 7, the EU Tadka podcast and the cookbook A Taste of Home with EU Tadka. Alongside her own recipes, she introduces Indian audiences to European ingredients through the EU’s More Than Food campaign.
