How it started.
Hendrik grew up in a small village in Germany. In a Modeliste interview, they traced the beginnings of their feed to backpacking through Australia, where they lived for two years and photographed themselves in the places they visited.
An unexpected breakout.
In a 2018 Naluda interview, Hendrik recalled being mistaken for a spectator spotted during the 2014 World Cup final. They said the mix-up brought 45,000 new Instagram followers overnight and sudden media attention.
From the feed to the screen.
Fashion editorials followed, including Richard Yap’s 2017 Adon shoot and Tobias Wahl’s 2023 HENDRIK editorial for Fucking Young!, styled by Simon Riepe. In 2023, Hendrik appeared in Joyn’s Behind The Feed alongside Paola Maria, Marvyn Macnificent, Naomi Jon and Nihan Sen.
