Mini bio
An artist first.
Hunter grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina, drawing long before she stepped onto a set. On A24’s podcast, she recalled her parents giving her paper and crayons and described attending a state-funded visual arts school for her last two years of high school.
Finding her way.
At 17, she became the youngest plaintiff challenging North Carolina’s HB2 law. She planned to study fashion design at Central Saint Martins, then put college on hold when modeling work took her to New York. Euphoria cast her in 2018 despite her having no acting experience; Jules became her breakout role when the show arrived in 2019.
Making room for more.
Hunter also co-wrote the Jules-focused Euphoria special with Sam Levinson. Her film work includes Tigris in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes and her first feature lead in Cuckoo. Fashion remains part of her creative life through campaigns for Prada and Mugler.
