Mini bio
Finding a voice.
iann grew up between Puerto Rico and several US states as part of a Navy family, eventually settling in Texas. Poetry came before recording: in interviews, iann describes discovering that a song could carry a whole story.
From uploads to a first audience.
Before music became the focus, iann made entertainment videos for Instagram, Twitter and YouTube. SoundCloud uploads led to a connection with Taz Taylor and Internet Money in Los Angeles. The 2019 track “emotions” brought an early breakout, followed by “gone girl” with Trippie Redd and the debut album Industry Plant.
The song that traveled.
In 2020, a feature on 24kGoldn’s “Mood” brought iann to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Collaborations with artists including Lil Baby, Travis Barker and Clean Bandit reflect a catalog that moves across rap, rock, pop and dance music.
Keeping the music personal.
After on to better things in 2022, iann joined Big Noise and released Nothings Ever Good Enough II and CYCLES in 2025. Speaking to Galore about CYCLES, iann described stepping outside a comfort zone and sharing a more personal side.
