Mini bio

How it started.

Jake moved from New York City to California in 2018 to study communication at the University of Southern California. In 2021, an inside joke with friends and family became an account for reviewing octopus. After graduating in 2022, Jake worked in entertainment marketing and posted more regularly.

Finding the joke.

In early 2023, the account grew quickly as viewers discovered Jake’s improvised impressions and historical sketches. Replying to viewer comments with a new performance became part of the appeal. Jake has also spoken openly about anxiety and finding a creative outlet in making videos.

From sketches to conversations.

Therapuss launched in January 2024, pairing Jake with guests to talk through listeners’ problems. The show grew into live tours, while Puss & Poems brought the jokes into a comedy album. Acting followed with Hacks, and in February 2026 Jake made a Broadway debut in All Out: Comedy About Ambition.
