Mini bio

Before the channel.

Jeff grew up in Grand Falls-Windsor, Newfoundland and Labrador, and entered his first bodybuilding show at 19. His competitive years brought Mr. Junior Newfoundland titles in 2009 and 2010, followed by Mr. Junior Canada in 2012.

Finding his format.

He began posting workouts on YouTube in 2014, then moved toward explaining research in everyday language. His biochemistry degree helped him develop that approach. That shift became the foundation of his science-based lifting channel.

From explanations to projects.

Alongside videos, Jeff has coached bodybuilding champions and powerlifters. His book The Muscle Ladder gathers training principles, programs and exercise demonstrations in one place. In 2025, his Muscle Lab tour introduced fans to two gyms, research equipment and a podcast recording room.
