Mini bio

A camera and a way out.

Jenna’s business began in 2011 as wedding photography alongside a corporate job. At 23, a $300 camera bought on Craigslist gave a new ambition a practical starting point. By 2012, Jenna had left the day job to run the business full time.

Turning experience into lessons.

Online teaching followed, with a first course in 2015 and the launch of Goal Digger in 2016. The podcast offered practical guidance for women moving from traditional careers into creative businesses, covering marketing, social media and the realities of working for yourself.

A more public conversation.

In 2018, a swimsuit photo with husband Drew and a response to a comment questioning their relationship brought Jenna’s writing about body confidence to a much wider audience. That July, Jenna announced becoming an AerieREAL Role Model, continuing a public conversation about self-love and representation.

The question behind the book.

Published June 28, 2022, How Are You, Really?: Living Your Truth One Answer at a Time became a New York Times bestseller. It asks readers to examine what they actually want from life, a question Jenna has continued exploring in personal essays.

Making room for what comes next.

On December 31, 2025, Jenna paused Goal Digger after 968 episodes. The business continued, while writing, family and life offline took more space. By October 2026, Substack updates included a new homeschooling rhythm with Drew.
