How it started.
Jessie began Seams for a Desire in 2011 while studying psychology. An Erasmus stay in Poland was part of that beginning. The blog was also a way to build a portfolio toward a hoped-for job at a fashion magazine.
Finding an audience.
In a December 2011 interview, Jessie described the appeal of putting together accessible outfits and finding several ways to wear the same piece. By her 2021 appearance on Charlando sobre moda, the blog had become a decade-long career and the Instagram community had passed 300,000 followers.
Beyond the outfit.
The work grew to include beauty, recipes and motherhood alongside personal style. Jessie has written openly about balancing family life with the work behind a blog, and has created beauty content as a Kérastase ambassador. Tula Maison extends that creative work into fabric accessories for the home and summer outings.
