Mini bio
How it started.
Julie launched Sincerely Jules in 2009 while studying Visual Communications at FIDM. Between a job, a WGSN internship and assisting celebrity stylists, she wanted more room to create. Her sister suggested a fashion blog, and it became a place to experiment and share what inspired her.
Finding her people.
Personal style brought readers to the blog. In her Porsche interview, Julie traced that connection to attainable outfits and mixing high and low fashion. Her world grew to include travel, beauty, home and family, with photographer husband Kevin Berruer creating imagery alongside her.
From outfits to collections.
She took that eye for everyday dressing into collaborations with Billabong and Bandier. In July 2021 she launched Color Dept., a nail polish brand that connected fashion and self-care. Her first job at her brother’s Silverlake nail salon helped inspire it. Later projects included Mexico-and-California-inspired luggage with Monos and planners with Blue Sky.
