Before the food videos.
Karissa grew up in Orlando and earned a BFA in musical theatre at the University of Central Florida. Theme park performing led her to Universal Studios Beijing in 2021.
How it started.
During three weeks of quarantine in China, she began filming TikToks as a travel diary. Viewers were especially curious about her meals. After returning to the United States, she added YouTube Shorts and full-day eating challenges.

Her videos pair food with exploring a place, from Korean convenience stores to Bangkok night markets. In 2025 she launched Karissa Eats the Streets with a walk down Manhattan, stopping to eat along the way. Her 2026 Tourist Trap Test compares well-known restaurants with smaller alternatives.
