Mini bio
How it started.
Watching her mother transform for cabaret performances helped Katie discover what makeup could do. She began in beauty as a nail technician, then built her makeup career in London, where being able to do both nails and makeup helped her get booked and meet other artists.
Finding her audience.
Her Instagram began as a place to show nail work. As she moved into makeup, her approachable tutorials and love of visible skin texture drew a community of beauty fans. Through KJH Academy, she could watch followers practise and improve week after week. Her celebrity and editorial work has included Ashley Graham, Hailey Bieber, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
From brushes to her own brand.
In February 2021, Katie teamed up with Spectrum on a 25-piece brush collection. She launched KJH.brand on September 26, 2023, with the Hyper Shine High Lite Kit: a brush, serum, and pigment designed to let people customise their glow. Product education and experimenting with different uses remain central to the brand.
