Kerry-Ann Scott-Spence grew up in Jamaica and wanted to become a fashion designer while in high school. On the Kass Stylz About page, Kerry credits a grandmother’s carefully put-together Sunday church outfits as an early fashion lesson. The name KASS comes from Kerry-Ann Scott-Spence.
From the classroom to the blog.
Before becoming a full-time creator, Kerry taught math and science. A 2024 Jamaicans.com profile traces that teaching career to Jamaica and describes how blog and Instagram posts led to brand opportunities. In a March 2020 blog post celebrating two years of blogging, Kerry wrote about starting despite doubts, balancing content with teaching and building relationships with readers.
