How it started.
Introduced to show business by Ghazanfar Ali, Komal began singing as a teenager and worked in Pakistani television, including Hawaain. Her Punjabi bhangra single Bauji arrived in 1999 and became an early breakthrough.
Finding her sound.
She calls Sufi rock her specialty. Coke Studio brought her together with Akhtar Chanal Zahri for Daanah Pah Daanah in 2011; she later joined him and Momin Durrani on Washmallay. Her other collaborations include the wedding-classics mashup Chitta Chola with Siddharth Slathia.

Alongside music and television hosting, she built skincare brand Truly Komal. In 2020 she launched Komal’s Kitchen, sharing recipes after followers asked her to show how she cooks. In December 2024 her official music channel released Tu Beh Gaya 2.0.
