How it started.
Leah’s route into makeup began with a Cleo magazine competition in New Zealand. She won a year of makeup artistry training in Auckland, worked for MAC and later moved to Sydney to build a freelance career.
A natural finish.
Natural-looking skin runs through Leah’s work, alongside bolder editorial makeup. Her official biography covers campaigns, television commercials, fashion shows and masterclasses. In a 2019 interview, she singled out a three-day Pretty Little Thing campaign as a career highlight.
Making her own essentials.
Leah created OWN Beauty Essentials after looking for natural-looking lashes that would enhance and elongate the eye. Her founder’s story describes researching, designing and testing the products herself. The range includes corner lashes, individual lashes and beauty tools.
Sharing the technique.
