Mini bio
From skate shops to strategy.
Leslie’s early businesses ranged from balloon sculpting as a teenager to a skateboard and snowboard shop in her twenties. In her 2021 SHOUTOUT LA interview, she described running the shop for 13 years before it closed during the recession, then rebuilding her working life.
Choosing a different working life.
After reaching a corporate executive role, Leslie wanted more time with her family. She told SHOUTOUT LA that she moved into freelancing and consulting in 2014, then co-founded a Los Angeles branding agency. Reconsidering her direction in 2020 led to Cutclass and its Out to Launch Academy program.
Teaching what she learned.
Out to Launch began in February 2021, with conversations about starting businesses, changing careers and personal reinvention. Her public work later expanded to a TEDxCherryCreekHS talk about perfectionism. Today, she calls herself the Mystic MBA and combines business systems with spiritual and somatic practices in her coaching.
