Mini bio
How it started.
Lori grew up on Chicago’s Near North Side and attended Loyola University, working for the Chicago Tribune while in college. In 1996, she designed a plastic earring organizer that JCPenney picked up before the holiday season. That first product helped her build a business around practical fixes for everyday problems.
From demonstrations to deals.
Her home-shopping work led to Clever & Unique Creations on QVC in 2000. She joined Shark Tank in 2012, bringing that experience of explaining and selling products to entrepreneurs pitching their own ideas. Scrub Daddy, Drop Stop, Boarderie, and The Pizza Cupcake are among the businesses she features on her official site.
Sharing the process.
Her 2014 book, Invent It, Sell It, Bank It!, walks readers through research, prototypes, manufacturing, protecting ideas, and selling. She also founded Good Place Entertainment to develop film, video, and television projects. Her official biography describes support for college scholarships, young people, first responders, and health-care workers.
