Mini bio
How it started.
Luise grew up in Denmark, met David Frenkiel in Rome and settled in Stockholm in 2008. They started Green Kitchen Stories in 2009, sharing vegetarian recipes built around whole foods and organic ingredients. She later qualified as a holistic nutritional therapist in Stockholm in 2014.
From blog to bookshelf.
The Green Kitchen arrived in 2013, the same year their blog won SAVEUR’s Best Special Diets Blog award. Together they went on to write Green Kitchen Travels, Green Kitchen Smoothies, Green Kitchen at Home, Little Green Kitchen and Green Kitchen: Quick & Slow. Their books carry the same interest in vegetables, family meals and food inspired by travel.
A second calling.
Luise has also pursued a long-held wish to become a midwife. In a 2023 To The Moon, Honey conversation, she discussed studying while raising a family and building a business with her partner. In her 2026 ACTIVIST interview, she described working at a hospital in gynecology while continuing to share cooking and family life through Green Kitchen Stories.
