Mini bio
How it started.
Raised in Senegal, Malick moved to Italy at thirteen. An agent scouted them in Corsica at nineteen, and their first runway show was Valentino’s fall/winter 2018 collection. Campaigns and shows for major fashion houses followed.
Behind the camera.
Malick taught themself photography while building a modeling career. Their work now moves between fashion commissions and personal stories about African heritage, community and home. They divide their time between Paris and Senegal.
Returning home.
Sénégal, Voyage Temporel grew from four years of travel across Senegal. Meeting their paternal grandmother in Casamance and discovering Diola traditions helped shape the project. The photographs became a self-published book and exhibitions in Dakar and Paris in 2024.
Books and film.
The 2025 book Adolescence turns toward the transition from childhood to adulthood, with a foreword by Olivia Anani and poems by Ramata-Toulaye Sy. Malick also wrote and directed the 2025 short The Voice of the Sun, a story of return and longing told in Wolof and French.
